Tab Clipper is a Chrome browser extension for copying URLs, titles, and publication names from open browser tabs. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.

Tab Clipper does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The extension reads tab URLs and titles locally within your browser solely to display them in the extension popup and copy them to your clipboard at your request. No data leaves your device except as described under External Requests below.

When using the LinkPress or Custom (with Publication Name) format, Tab Clipper makes requests to a Cloudflare Worker at perspica-fetch.matt-wickens.workers.dev to retrieve article metadata — specifically the page title — from URLs you have selected. Only the URL of the article is sent. No user identity, browsing history, or other data is included in these requests, and no data is logged or retained by the worker service.

Custom format settings (your preferences for Publication Name, Title, URL, and Hyperlinked toggles) are saved to Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted externally.

Tab Clipper writes formatted text to your system clipboard when you press the copy button. This is the sole purpose of the extension. Clipboard contents are not read, logged, or transmitted by the extension.

Tab Clipper does not share data with any third parties, advertisers, or analytics services. The extension contains no tracking code, telemetry, or advertising SDKs of any kind.

Tab Clipper requests the following Chrome permissions: tabs (to read the URL and title of open tabs), clipboardWrite (to write formatted text to the clipboard), and storage (to save your custom format preferences locally). No other permissions are requested or used.
